Anar Kafkas
I am originally from Azerbaijan and grew up in Turkey. I studied Mathematics and Economics at the London School of Economics.
I've been involved in a number of software projects either as a founder or an engineer:
- Typesync: Single source of truth for your Firestore architecture. Typesync's CLI tool lets developers autogenerate type definitions for multiple platforms from a single schema definition.
- Fern: Autogenerated SDKs and docs for your API. I helped build Fern's documentation generator, worked on CLI features and contributed to the Fern Definition, a better alternative to the OpenAPI spec.
- Proficient AI: Interaction APIs and SDKs for conversational AI agents. Prior to the API product, I participated in the Pioneer accelerator program with an AI-powered job application assistant.
I am fluent in TypeScript, Swift, Python and Java. My current interests are:
- building end-to-end single source of truth systems
- training deep neural networks
I only work on what I believe are net positive-sum technologies accelerating human progress. Causes I care about:
- artificial general intelligence
- adoption of scientific reasoning
- economic growth
My open source projects
- typesync: Autogenerate Firestore model types for all platforms.
- firewalk: A light, fast, and memory-efficient collection traversal library for Firestore and Node.js.
- @proficient/ds: Essential data structures for TypeScript.
- @proficient/util: A small utility library for TypeScript.
- selftrace: An effort to automatically map out all COVID-19 cases in your area to slow the spread. Was part of the Help with Covid initiative by Sam Altman and received support from hundreds of volunteers.
